Dr. Frazier Beatty, the esteemed founder of GPHCB, is not only an accomplished Assistant Professor and Director of the MPH Program (Online) at Regis College but also a decorated veteran with 28 years of logistics experience in the US Marine Corps, retiring at the rank of Gunnery Sergeant in 2015. This unique blend of military discipline and logistics expertise profoundly influences his approach to public health, offering a perspective that is as diverse as it is deep. His scholarly focus encompasses Telehealth, HIV, STIs, Social Determinants of Health, and Obesity research. Dr. Beatty's substantial contributions are further enriched by his active involvement in several prestigious professional organizations, such as the American Public Health Association (APHA), the Society for Public Health Education (SOPHE), and the National Commission for Health Education Credentialing (NCHEC).
A leader in both academia and research, Dr. Beatty's work has been extensively published in leading journals, including Healthcare, the International Journal of Cancer Research and Molecular Mechanisms, and the World Journal of AIDS. Dr. Gayle D. Jones brings a wealth of academic expertise and professional public health experience to our board, enriching our mission to advance quality public health education. With a career dedicated to improving community health and education, particularly in maternity and child health, health literacy, and rural health, Dr. Jones has extensive knowledge and leadership in the field of public health.
Currently, Dr. Jones serves as an Associate Professor and Department Chair, she not only imparts wisdom to future public health professionals but also leads by example through her diverse professional journey. Her roles span from Senior Health Educator to State Director for Children’s Health, demonstrating her versatility and commitment to making a tangible difference in the lives of others.
A seasoned presenter at conferences and events, Dr. Jones has shared her insights on critical issues such as women's health, STD prevention among adolescents, chronic disease prevention, and healthcare access in rural areas. Dr. Hadi Danawi, PhD, brings over 25 years of invaluable experience in teaching, research, and community outreach to our board, enriching our efforts in advancing public health education. As a faculty member and professor specializing in epidemiological and clinical research within Global Public Health, Dr. Danawi has authored over 200 peer-reviewed articles, underscoring his dedication to expanding knowledge and innovating solutions in the field.
